|Born in Angola (Portuguese West Equatorial Africa), in 1969, Rui "Eduardo" Bastos Amaro, lived in Portugal until 1991, year in which, he emigrated into the United States. After living in Colorado for five years and after several touristic visits to the Napa and Sonoma valleys, he decided to try the wine industry and in 1996, he started to work for Pechiney Cork and Seal and settled in Napa. For his aptitude, he was subsequently hired by two additional suppliers within a 13 year time period. He is known in the industry as a very well versed and multi-talented individual and someone that is always willing to help and a great source for packaging information. He is passionate, driven and with a tremendous willingness to make sure that all of his customers and friends are always completely satisfied with his advise and support. He is married, the father of three phenomenal boys,
an amateur winemaker, olive oil and sea salt importer, avid soccer fan, loves the ocean, family, friends -- and all combined with great food and wine (if possible).
||Dana'ya was born in Petaluma, California in 1976. She attended Catholic School and in her off time, she devoted herself to Gymnastics. As a Gymnast she excelled in vaulting and beam and with her determination finished in the top 2 overall for states at the end of her Gymnastic career.
After High School, Dana'ya took various classes preparing
herself for Nursing School. In 1997 she met Rui Bastos-Amaro and
they married shortly thereafter. She finished Nursing School in
1998 and immediately went to work at The Queen of The Valley
Hospital in Napa, California in the Intensive Care Unit. Dana'ya
worked at The Queen until 2004. That same year she became a very
proud mother of their first son. After he was born, Dana'ya took a
short sabbatical from Nursing to care for him. In 2005 Dana'ya
went back to work at St. Helena Hospital, California where she
worked in Labor and Delivery for the next 10 yeas, after having taken a short time off in 2006 and 2008 after the birth of their other two sons.
Currently, Dana'ya is an assistant nurse manager at Kaiser
Permanente in Santa Rosa.
Dana'ya's days and nights are busy caring for the family's daily activities. She also is a fundamental part of Bastos, LLC doing the books and helping with the day to day operations supporting her husband to build their family business.
